-The Financial Planning & Analysis Mgr. will be responsible for all

financial activities pertaining to budgeting, forecasting and financial

analysis of the Income Statement and Working Capital

-This FP&A manager position allows for excellent exposure and growth

within the organization; this position will report to the Group Finance VP

and will be based out of a Fields Group manufacturing location or IDEX

Corporate Offices located in Lake Forest, IL


-This position will ultimately support this vertical’s FP&A strategy to

maximize the combined strengths of Viking Pump, Warren Rupp, Gast/JUN-AIR;

Fitzpatrick, Matcon, Microfluidics, Quadro; Corken, SAMPI & Toptech

Systems ($750M in combined revenue) to provide better solutions, expand

margins and generate strong cash flow

-He/she will develop, analyze and interpret statistical and FP&A

information in order to appraise operating results in terms of

profitability, performance, operational excellence and other criteria that

directly reflect the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the

business group


-An operational understanding of business units to be able to identify and

convey financial risks and opportunities

-Attend Fields Group Quarterly Operating Review meeting and support prep of

QOR Corporate meeting

-Participate in training, seminars, and workshops (as deemed necessary)

-Build successful partnerships with corporate finance, Business Unit

finance leaders and Business Unit FP&A leaders

-Consolidate and roll up monthly forecasts for the Industrial and Energy


-Drive process improvements in planning, budgeting, forecasting, and

managerial reporting

-Examine, analyze and interpret financial data to determine trends and gaps

within the results

-Monthly Financial Reporting Scorecard

-Participate in the annual 3-year strategic planning and annual operating

planning (AOP) processes including establishing assumptions, spreadsheet

modeling, consolidation, and analysis and presentation preparation

-Perform other related duties and involvement in special projects when


-Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis to assist in management decisions

-Weekly monitoring of Orders, Sales, Profit, Working Capital and Cash

against targets


-A keen business sense, including a deep understanding of markets,

customers and competitors

-Ability to analyze the details, but also to be able to step back and “look

at the big picture”

-Self-confident in his /her own abilities, who is always available to coach

or counsel others



-Bachelor's Degree (preferably in accounting, business, economics, or finance)

-5-10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience; manufacturing experience and previous FP&A experience is a plus

-CPA and/or MBA preferred

-Advanced level of experience with Hyperion

-Self-starter, strong desire for getting results and willingness to learn

-Able to multi-task while being detail-oriented

-Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure

-Excellent interpersonal and communication/presentation skills

-Must be a team player and willing to step in and help out on projects when necessary

-Available to travel around 20-25% of the time

-Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
