The FMT Group Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Leader will be responsible for all financial activities pertaining to budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and analysis of the Income Statement and Working Capital. The Group FP&A Leader position allows for excellent growth and exposure across the organization. This position will report to the FMT Group Finance VP and will be based at either an IDEX manufacturing location, the IDEX Corporate Offices located in the Chicago area or remotely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Weekly monitoring of Orders, Sales, Profit, Working Capital and Cash against targets
Examine, analyze and interpret financial data to determine trends and gaps within the results
Consolidate monthly forecasts and provide support in communicating key drivers to CFO and Corporate finance team
Ensure achievement of “green” status on the Monthly Financial Reporting Scorecard
Attend FMT Group Quarterly Operating Review meetings and support preparation of the QOR Corporate meeting
Attain operational understanding of Business Units to be able to identify and convey financial risks and opportunities
Participate in the annual 3-year strategic planning and annual operating planning (AOP) processes including establishing assumptions, spreadsheet modeling, consolidation, analysis and presentation preparation
Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis to assist in management decisions
Drive process improvements in planning, budgeting, forecasting and managerial reporting
Build successful partnerships with Corporate finance, Business Unit finance leaders and Business Unit FP&A leaders
Support M&A activities including due diligence, financial modeling and integration when required
Perform other related duties and involvement in special projects when required
Attend training, seminars and workshops as deemed necessary
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Business, or Finance
7-10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience; manufacturing experience and previous FP&A experience
CPA and/or MBA preferred
Advance experience with Hyperion and / or OneStream
Self-starter, strong desire of getting results and willingness to learn
Able to multi-task while being detail-oriented
Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
Excellent interpersonal and communication/presentation skills
Must be a team player and willing to step in and assist on projects when necessary
Available to travel up to 20% of the time
Intermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
