The Staff Accountant will support key accounting activities by developing, preparing and analyzing workpapers\schedules to ensure the Company remains in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Corporate policy and procedures.
Ensure compliance with Internal Audit, GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and Segregation of Duties (SEGROD)
Compile and analyze financial information used to prepare entries
Work with Controller to analyze financial information detailing inventory, fixed assets, leases and net working capital
Prepare unclaimed property, property tax and sales\use tax returns on time
Support Concur/ Corporate credit card approvals
Assist cost accounting, FP&A and Director of Finance as needed
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company
Uphold company values including ethical conduct and high integrity in all actions
Perform other duties as required
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of two-to-five years’ experience
US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or government regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employee’s and the general public
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
Demonstrate good organizational skills and good follow-up techniques
Must be able to multitask
Demonstrated initiative, judgment and maturity, deals with confidential information with the utmost discretion, respect and care
Demonstrate responsibility, respect, dependability, patience, and productivity in order to create a positive work environment
Position is in Oklahoma City. Exposure to manufacturing environment. Noise level may vary from moderate office environment to noisy/loud in the plant area. Proper use of safety equipment such as steel-toed shoes, goggles, safety glasses, gloves, apron and face shield must be observed.
