This position is responsible for helping establish and auditing the systems and procedures for the division so that it remains in compliance with GAAP and IAS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to the general ledger accounts.
Performs and leads monthly close process in JDE ERP.
Preparation of monthly journal entries.
Preparation of monthly account reconciliations.
Responsible for revenue recognition.
Analyzes financial information detailing inventory, fixed assets, leases and net working capital.
Assist with SOX compliance as well as various audit investigations as needed.
Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors that may be inconsistent with GAAP & IAS.
Supports operations, supply chain and quality team with KPI’s and analytics
Supports company values including ethical conduct and high integrity in all actions.
This job position requires compliance with ITAR Regulations. Therefore, all employees working in this capacity must meet citizenship status. Per the IDEX Corporation Export Controls Policy and Procedure, the employee must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports cost accounting
Supports monthly business review and annual operating plan for operations
Supports special projects
Uploads and verifies balances
Supports Accounting Manager and Director of finance. To initiate daily cycle counts.
SUPERVISORY/LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/WORK RELATED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or government regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employee’s and the general public.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Proficient computer skills – (Word, Excel, JDE ERP System preffered,ERP Systems).
High Degree of accuracy.

Reporting and Location: This position is based in Rochester, New York and reports to the Accounting Manager.
