IDEX Accounting Manager in West Jordan, Utah

Primary Function:

Oversee all general accounting functions related to maintaining the general ledger, controllership, and adherence to IDEX and GAAP policies. In addition, the position will be responsible for audit and SOX compliance and the maintenance of general and fixed asset ledgers.

In addition, work with Staff Accountant to develop timely & accurate accounts receivable forecasts for Trebor International on a monthly and Ad hoc basis.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily/Weekly:

  • Maintain the general ledger account structure, including reviewing and authorizing requests for new accounts, and establishing them in the Visual ERP system.

  • Review credit worthiness of customers and set or approve credit limits, selling terms, and release of customers on credit hold.

  • Maintain the account matrix between Visual (ERP) and OneStream.

  • Oversee any payroll related requests.

  • Oversee the Concur expense reporting process, including serving as a back-up processor and approver.

  • Approve the completion of the fixed asset additions and annual fixed asset audits.

  • Oversee and assist with application of cash collections to customer accounts.

Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly:

  • Ensure that Trebor International complies to Idex policies and procedures.

  • Act as the owner of controllership for the businesses.

  • Coordinate the closing of the general ledger on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Coordinate all correspondences and requirements with internal/external auditors including annual SOX compliance documentation.

  • Coordinate all correspondences and requirements with other internal/external audits including compliance and R&D tax credit audits.

  • Coordinate the OneStream reconciliation process including uploading balances, reviewing risk ratings, assigning new accounts, and monitoring timeliness of completion.

  • Coordinate monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting to IDEX and internally to Trebor senior management.

  • Ensure the issuance of accurate and timely financial reporting of results and analysis in compliance with IDEX Executive Office timetables.

  • Complete all miscellaneous governmental reporting required for the business unit including, but not limited to Multiple Worksite Reporting and Quarterly/Annual Manufacturer’s reports.

  • Oversee the AOP process for salary and fringe benefit related items, headcount and capital expenditures.

  • Enforce credit and collection policies and procedures, per IDEX Corporate requirements.

  • Ensure customer credit files are maintained in compliance with IDEX policy.

  • Oversee Red Flag compliance, including contacting distributors for updated compliance documentation.

Other:

  • Work with Finance Manager on Corporate reporting requirements including but not limited to Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Operating Reviews, financial analysis, profitability walks, monthly business reviews, as well as other Ad hoc requests.

  • Provide guidance to accounting team regarding processes, performance reviews and goal setting.

  • Responsible for all Sarbanes-Oxley compliance issues related to revenue recognition, general accounting, accounts receivable, credit and financial reporting functions.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • B.S. or B. A. in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • CPA or CMA a plus.

  • 3-5 years’ progressive accounting experience.

  • Credit, collections, or related experience a plus.

  • Leadership experience preferred.

  • Broad based financial reporting and GAAP/SOX compliance experience.

Other Special Requirements:

  • Goal oriented self-starter.

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Working with Staff Accountant must be able to research and resolve problems with customers and accounts receivable system and invoices.

  • Ability to provide direction and establish priorities for direct reports as well as provide proper feedback and critical evaluations of personal and departmental performance.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.

  • Infor Visual, and OneStream experience a plus, however, may be obtained based on training provided.

  • BNA Fixed Asset Reporting experience a plus, however, may be obtained based on training provided.

  • Archer Risk Management experience a plus, however, may be obtained based on training provided.

  • Working knowledge of Dun & Bradstreet credit reporting and online system.

  • RedFlag Compliance software

Work Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to move within office and manufacturing areas.

  • Perform general office functions.

  • Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person.

  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.

Organizational Relationships:

  • Direct Reports (Staff Accountant and A/P Clerk)

  • Must have the ability to communicate with customers effectively and constructively, suppliers and all levels of corporate and company personnel.

  • IDEX Executive Office, mainly the IDEX Finance and Payroll Teams.

  • IDEX Internal Audit Team.

  • Frequent contact with Trebor Regional Sales Managers and Customer Service personnel.
